California: Mayor Enters 'Sister River Restoration' Agreement
As part of an effort to restore the Los Angeles River, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa entered into a "sister river restoration" agreement Monday with the mayor of Seoul, South Korea. Villaraigosa met with Seoul's mayor, Oh Se-hoon, and toured the Cheonggyecheon River, a four-mile waterway winding through the city's downtown area that recently underwent major renovations.
